Gosh, I planned to post this morning, and then this afternoon, as I have two drafts I want to publish before this weekend closes. But sunshine and peace prevailed. It's now 9:30p and I'm just getting to them.
So, last night I realized that I left something out of yesterday's post. I wrote how I felt the wording of the Zoo's social media post about Our Lions eviction, created an illusion. This was a comment interaction on the Facebook post.
When I read this, I was literally saying out loud, what?! When is that going to happen? Pandas will reportedly take-over the Cat Yards and Lion House for ten years. Where are they planning to put Tigers? They can't afford to upgrade for Lions, or build them a new enclosure, who's paying for a Tiger enclosure, and where is it going? Seriously, What is happening? I really can't believe everything said that has come out of the Zoo this weekend.
That last response makes it sound like, conversations will be happening to bring Tigers here in the near future. The Zoo needs to stop being vague with people and say, we got no money, Tigers ain't coming for ten-fifteen years. That is unless they stop holding onto the Panda Fantasy, and bring a Tiger to the empty Cat Yard, and do right by Our Lions. Which is the only logical solution in this whole delusional Panda Want.
Six months ago when the Zoo paused the Chimpanzee program, they said, it's not the end of Chimpanzees at Our Zoo. Now they're pausing Lions and saying, it's not the end of Lions at Our Zoo. Where and When do they think they're going to get the money to build a new Lion exhibit? Or rebuild on the Triple Grotto site for Chimpanzees?
They keep evicting longtime Species that Visitors want to see. It's a crucial time for Our Zoo. These eliminations are just not smart. Neither is being evasive about their return.
I'm not trying to be super critical I just don't understand the whole thought process behind any of what is going on there.
I'm going to end by saying, I don't like attacking what the Zoo puts out on social media and in news statements, because I know these Staffers. In several recent posts now, I have reacted to such, and it's made me uncomfortable, because I know it's their job to align with whatever agenda the Zoo has. That said, when I express my thoughts, it's not personal. If there is something to document, I'm going to do it. I'm already in this, and I can't not give a well rounded view as I see it.

I used to use (search) labels, but too often forget. I started noting "Hot Topic" in title, but fell lax on that. Now I'm just going to add labels, keywords, etc., here at the bottom with hashtags. Does it help in searches, who knows.

*Thank you for your comment. All comments are appreciated. In the past fourteen years, I have replied to almost every comment. In recent years I have found it hard to keep committed to that.
