Zoo Director Tanya Peterson Says Fuck You To Our Orangutans

I have a personal rule not to look at email after 6p, to maintain a peaceful evening best as possible.  Wednesday (30th) night, I made the mistake of opening an email near midnight.  I was dozing off when I saw this.  I reacted immediately, writing the words it made me feel, as an intended post. These are those words, with a few extra added facts.

Well, this really pisses me off.  So, Director Tanya Peterson lit a fire under her ass to raise near $20 Million to date, for Pandas, and did absolutely NOTHING for the Orangutans.  I'm sorry, but I hate this woman.  

And for those who think I shouldn't use the word hate, this is a woman who took away my membership twice and the second time, had my account noted as Deactivated and Deceased, because she didnt like things that I wrote in my blog.  So, in my opinion there are no words too strong, for someone of such Despicable character.  

I really find her to be morally stripped of compassion, empathy and decency.  I am so sickened and offended by her for so many things, but especially for how she has treated the Orangutans.  They have lived in inappropriate housing since arriving five years ago.  They barely have room to move in their natural behavior.  They barely have any room at all. Their home is a tiny, concrete cluttered island.

And if any Member the San Francisco Zoological Society has contributed to Pandas, while the Orangutans continue to languish in an ancient and awful enclosure, Shame on them!!!

I've had several Panda related posts in draft, that I had planned on tackling next.  One, directly relates to this Panda fundraising effort, and whether or not Director Peterson would be allowed to fundraise under the Board of Supervisors stipulation granted to the Mayor.  I inquired with the Office of a Supervisor who has been helpful with information, and was sent a detailed notation of that situation.  That was a couple months ago, and I just haven't gotten to yet.  At first glance that info would have also required me to contact another entity. With all the other stuff in the past couple months and the Coyote Murder project, I just haven't had the time or energy.  I honestly didn't think the funds would be raised, because frankly,  How is the Zoo going to pay for all the annual expenses aside from the enclosure cost?  Anyway, will see about putting forth those drafts next week, even though some of them may not apply any longer.

So, I guess I just wrote this to bash Director Peterson.  She kept the Orangutans in caged tubes for eight months straight, because she said there was no money for an enclosure for them, but will throw double digit millions towards an enclosure for Pandas, who don't even live here.  That's a moral crime.

Tanya Peterson has no business being in charge of an Animal Care Facility.  

What a Disgraceful human she is.

I used to use (search) labels, but too often forget.  I started noting "Hot Topic" in title, but fell lax on that.  Now I'm just going to add labels, keywords, etc., here at the bottom with hashtags.  Does it help in searches, who knows.
