"It was hard for me to believe," Jane Goodall recalls. "At that time, it was thought that humans, and only humans, used and made tools. I had been told from school onwards that the best definition of a human being was man the tool-maker – yet I had just watched a chimp tool-maker in action. I remember that day as vividly as if it was yesterday."
ReplyDeleteRIP Miss T.... I shall miss you terribly and feel for her chimp family in this major zoo loss. Miss T was beautiful and wise. The zoo will not be the same without Miss T and her blankets!!! This loss hit me hard. RIP Missy cuz you are now well again and smiling down at Cobby and the others and you are comfy in one of your comfy blankets. I will always love and miss you.
ReplyDeleteLove the pic! Can't help but smile.
ReplyDeleteRIP Tallulah - you will be missed greatly.
@Photon Capturer - Thank you for your comment, using a great quote from a great woman who knows Primates so well.
ReplyDelete@Lee - Thank you for you comment. Its still hard to believe she isn't there. and YES she is there with her family. There are some souls I don't believe would stay around the Zoo, but while her family is still there, she will be. Once they are all together again, they will be off to new adventures as a family once again.
ReplyDelete@hazel- Thank you for you comment. Glad you liked the pic! I have beyond thousands of photos, and not all organized BUT I think that this is one of my best of her and thankful I found it to use for this moment. Miss her so.
